Accotink Park's 493 acres include a 55-acre lake, wetlands, and streams offering unique views of waterfowl and marsh life. Facilities and activities vary with the season and include canoe, rowboat and pedal boat rentals, fishing, tour-boat rides, boat launch, bait and tackle sales, 9-green double holed miniature golf course, antique carousel, snack bar, pavilion shelters (reservations encouraged), picnic areas with grills, restrooms, playground, a 3.75-mile hiking/biking trail and 2 open play fields. Small sailboats permitted; swimming, windsurfing and gas powered boat motors are prohibited. Virginia State Fishing License required for fishing. Picnic areas, playground, pavillions, trails and open play fields are open daily year-round.

From southbound, I-95 Springfield West, first right on BacklickRoad. Left on Highland to Park.Park in the lower parking lot below the dam.

From northbound I-95 Springfield West to third stoplight. Right on Hanover, left on Highland (sixth stop sign) to Park.Park in the lower parking lot below the dam.

From southbound, I-495 Braddock Road East. Right at second stop light,onto Heming. Follow Heming. Pass under the beltway and continue pass two streets on the right.The park is on the right where the street begins to turn to the left. This is the upper parking lot. Walk downhill next to the fence to the dam.(This avoids the Springfield Interchange with I-95 which may have a back-up).

From I-395, Edsall Road West to end. Left on Braddock Road to third stoplight. Right onto Highland to Park. Park in the lower parking lot below the dam. (This avoids the Springfield I-95 Interchange which may have a back-up).

Google Map		From the North or South: use I-495/Beltway exit 54AB/Braddock Rd/Rt 620, heading east on Rt 620/Braddock Rd as you exit. In ~0.8 miles, turn right on Heming Ave. In ~1.3 miles, turn right at the Lake Accotink Park sign and follow the park road to the parking area. The pavilion is up a small path starting at the far (west) end of the parking lot.

Alternative parking is available in the lower parking lot (7500 Accotink Park Rd,, Springfield). It's a short walk from there to the pavilion where registration is located; follow signs or ask someone how to get to the McLaren-Sargent pavilion.
