Passing of Mikhail Matveev

It is with sadness that we relay the news that longtime QOC member Mikhail “Misha” Matveev passed away suddenly on May 17th. Originally from Russia, Misha was a math professor at George Mason University. He and his family attended many QOC meets over the years and were always happy to volunteer. He will be missed greatly.
Misha is survived by his wife Evgenia and daughter Maria. Thank you for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
His funeral will be held on Friday, May 27 and a memorial service will take place the following Friday at George Mason University. Details of both and information on how to direct expressions of sympathy can be found in a recent post on the QOC Yahoo group.
